Verb to be ( Am / Is / Are)

We use verb to be to express where are,how we are...etc.We use them with nouns such as " I am a student." Student is a noun,adjectives such as " She is angry with me." Angry is an adjective or adverbial clauses such as " He is at home." At home is an adverbial clause.Let's have a look at how we use them in sentences.

We use "is" with singular nouns and "are" with plural nouns.For example :
- Susan is always late for work. ( Susan is a singular noun so we have used "is" )
- Your brothers are here now. ( Your brothers are plural noun so we have used "are")
